NOTWITHSTANDING THE SCHOOL WINNING THE WORLD ROBOTICS COMPETITION AND
ACHIEVEMENTS, THE SCHOOL IS FACING THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES WHICH NEED
INTERVENTIONS FROM YOUR ORGANIZATION.
HAVING HEARD OF THE POSITIVE IMPACT YOUR ORGAINIZATION HAS MADE ON SOCIETIES
ACROSS THE GLOBE, WE ARE OF THE VIEW THAT OUR PLEAD WOULD CATCH YOUR NEEDED
ATTENTION.
The School’s access roads have never been tarred since its inception. The roads become so muddy
during the rainy season to the extent that one would have to waddle through the water potholes
before accessing the classrooms and other facilities as currently being experienced. During the dry
season the roads are dusty. Asthmatic students are worst off or mostly affected.
With a population of over two thousand four hundred, the school could boast of only 20 cubicle pit latrine. Approval was given for a 96 seater auto-flush toilet to be built by the PTA and the work started immediately. It is made up of 3 structures. Each of the three structures contains 32 cubicles. This was
started in 2014. One of the structures has been roofed. The remaining are at the lintel level. A bore-hole has been dug to service all. It is about 50% complete. A manhole is yet to be
constructed.
This project which was scheduled to be completed in March 2018 is still at the foundation level. If nothing is done to facilitate its timely completion, there won’t be enough space to accommodate
the students who would be admitted for the 2019/20 academic year.
The School now runs a shift system. This normally affects contact hours. What exist currently is a pavilion and an
improvised Kitchen. The facility produces heat making it uncomfortable for students to stay in for any meaningful recreational activity. During rain storm the improvised Kitchen is worse off. The dining hall pavilion is poorly ventilated making the girls jittery and uncomfortable at meals.
This project is about 40% complete. The three (3) Science Laboratories are yet to be furnished with the necessary installations. There are exposed PVC pipes, copper pipes and naked electrical cables in the laboratories. These expose students and teachers to danger whenever they use the laboratories for practical lessons.
The school can currently boast of one 8-unit Tutors flat and two 4-Unit Semi-detached tutors bungalows. As a result of the limited accommodation on campus, only few tutors are living on the school compound to instill and maintain discipline of students.
